Terms of Service
Last updated: September 22, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Matthew Sanders (“we,” “us”), governing your use of Token Exchange — the website at tokenswaphub.org and the Token Exchange browser extension (together, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What Token Exchange is
Token Exchange is self-custody software that helps you generate, store, and manage cryptocurrency wallet keys locally on your own device, view balances, send and receive supported crypto assets, and swap tokens using on-chain liquidity. It can also connect you to third-party fiat on-ramp/off-ramp providers (currently Coinbase and Onramper) and third-party decentralized applications (via WalletConnect).
Matthew Sanders is a software provider. We are not a bank, broker-dealer, money transmitter, custodian, or financial advisor, and nothing in the Service is investment, legal, or tax advice.
2. Your responsibility for your keys
3. Eligibility and acceptable use
You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction and legally able to enter into these Terms to use the Service. You agree not to use the Service:
- In violation of any applicable law or regulation, including sanctions, anti-money-laundering, and export-control laws;
- If you are located in, or a resident of, a country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions, or if you are on a sanctions list maintained by the U.S. or another applicable government;
- To engage in fraud, market manipulation, money laundering, or the financing of terrorism;
- To interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
4. Third-party services
Certain features are provided by independent third parties under their own terms and privacy policies, which you should review before using them:
- Coinbase and Onramper (Buy/Sell): these providers (Onramper itself an aggregator of several underlying payment/payout partners) handle identity verification, payment processing, and settlement for fiat-to-crypto and crypto-to-fiat transactions. Any issue with a Buy or Sell transaction — including KYC decisions, payment failures, or delays — is between you and that provider.
- 0x (token swaps): swap quotes and execution routes are generated by 0x's Swap API using on-chain liquidity. Prices, slippage, and available routes are determined by 0x and on-chain market conditions, not by us.
- WalletConnect and third-party dapps: connecting your wallet to a dapp is at your own risk. Review any transaction a dapp asks you to sign carefully — the Service does not vet third-party dapps.
- Public blockchain networks and RPC providers: transactions you broadcast are irreversible once confirmed on-chain, and network fees (“gas”) are set by the network, not by us.
We are not responsible or liable for the acts, omissions, availability, or content of any third-party service.
5. Fees
The Service itself does not charge you a fee simply for holding or viewing your assets. However:
- Swaps may include a fee or spread, and always require network (“gas”) fees paid to the underlying blockchain, which are outside our control.
- Buy and Sell transactions are priced by Coinbase or Onramper, and their fees are disclosed by them before you confirm a transaction.
- We may receive a referral, affiliate, or commission payment from Coinbase or Onramper when you complete a Buy or Sell transaction through the Service. This is compensation paid to us by the provider for the referral.
6. No warranty
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY BLOCKCHAIN NETWORK, THIRD-PARTY SERVICE, OR SMART CONTRACT WILL FUNCTION AS EXPECTED.
7. Assumption of risk
Cryptocurrency and blockchain technology carry significant risk. Prices can be highly volatile, transactions are generally irreversible, software (including third-party smart contracts and dapps) can contain bugs or be exploited, and regulatory treatment of digital assets varies and can change. You accept full responsibility for evaluating these risks before using the Service. Digital assets held in a self-custody wallet are not insured by the FDIC, SIPC, or any similar government or private insurance program.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MATTHEW SANDERS AND HIS EMPLOYEES AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF FUNDS, DATA, OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THIS INCLUDES, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSSES CAUSED BY A LOST OR STOLEN SEED PHRASE OR PASSWORD, A THIRD-PARTY SERVICE, A BLOCKCHAIN NETWORK ISSUE, OR A BUG IN A SMART CONTRACT WE DO NOT CONTROL.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Matthew Sanders from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
10. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time; we'll update the “Last updated” date above when we do. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Termination
Because the Service is non-custodial and generally does not require an account, there is usually nothing for us to “terminate” on our end other than an optional account you created. We may suspend or disable access to optional server-side features (such as account sync) for any user we reasonably believe is violating these Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Dakota, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless a different governing law is required by the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your own jurisdiction.
